Our Legacy

Our Legacy: Foundations of a Movement (1887 – 1921) – IMCS Pax Romana’s journey began in 1887 with a vision of empowering young people to champion peace and social justice. A History Of Pax Romana

If Catholics were not the first to found an international student union, it seems at least that they were the first to have the idea.” In 1887, Baron George de Montenach of Fribourg, Switzerland, the president of the Swiss Students’ Society proposed the idea at the General Assembly of the Society to create an “International Union of Catholic Students.”
